Into every generation, a slayer is born. One girl in all the world . . . sort of.
Frankie Rosenberg is the world’s first slayer-witch, but she doesn’t have that slay-life balance figured out just yet. She’s still reeling from the deadly explosion at the anual slayer retreat―and new evidence that some slayers may have survived. And while she’s defeated her first Big Bad, Frankie soon realizes it was just a warm-up act. Bigger, badder forces of evil are just getting started.
The Hellmouth has been reawakened and its calling old friends home. Portals are opening between Sunnydale and other dimensions. And the Scooby Gang has too many demons to contend with―real, metaphorical, and sometimes absurdly hot.
Then an oracle warns of a new foe on its way: the Darkness. Could this be what attacked the slayers? And is it coming for Frankie?
Why I Chose This Book
After absolutely devouring the first book in Kendare Blake’s Buffy: The Next Generation series earlier this year (and giving it a well-deserved 5-star rating), I simply could not wait to dive back into this delightfully twisted Sunnydale universe! As a lifelong Buffy the Vampire Slayer superfan, getting to experience fresh adventures with a brand new generation of slayers and Scoobies is like reuniting with your favorite campy, supernatural sitcom family.
One Girl In All The World picks up right where the explosive ending of the last book left off, with our reluctant slayer-witch heroine Frankie Rosenberg facing down even bigger, badder big bads. The Hellmouth is reawakening, portals are opening, demons are multiplying – in other words, it’s business as usual on the permanent Halloween hellscape that is Sunnydale! I can’t wait to watch Frankie continue growing into her role, while the original Scooby Gang inevitably gets roped into the latest paranormal pandemonium.
With its perfect balance of supernatural thrills, sly humor, and believable characters you can’t help but root for, this series is a dream come true for Buffy fans. I’ve already got my stakes sharpened and snacks prepped for what’s sure to be another wild, unmissable ride with One Girl In All The World!
